Overview

The System

Cambridge International A Level is typically a two-year course, and Cambridge International AS Level is typically one year. learners can choose from a range of assessment options to gain Cambridge International AS & A Level qualifications. The subjects are selected in line with aim for higher education at the university level. Therefore, each syllabus develops a deep understanding of subjects and independent thinking skills, leading to further education at the university level.

Students appear in Cambridge examinations at the end of both grade 11 and 12, and receive a Cambridge Certificate upon successful completion.

Recognition

Cambridge qualifications are recognised and valued by universities all around the world, including in Turkey, the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Germany and beyond. In places such as the United States and Canada, good grades in carefully chosen Cambridge International A Level subjects can result in up to one year of university course credit.

A Level program is recognised by the Turkish Ministry of Education (MEB), and students are eligible for an equivalence (denklik) upon successful completion of A Levels program with 2 or more subjects, and grades above D.

Guidelines

1. A Levels is a TWO YEAR program, starting in grade 11.
2. Admissions in grade 12 are not possible unless transferring from another A Level program.
3. A student must choose between 2-4 subjects. The subjects are chosen in grade 11, and continue in grade 12.
