Age Requirement: 5+
PEISG Kindergarten programme is aimed at the young learner, who have had some experience with schooling (in Preschool or Kreş).
The philosophy of our Kindergarten program grasps the concept of developing the whole child. Children are active learners and our program helps them to learn by touching, trying, moving, talking, drawing, questioning and making mistakes. Our Curriculum aims primarily at students` adaptation in school environment, i.e. ability for self-expression and creativity, developing social skills, learning group-, and teamwork; and is directed at developing skills that will raise students` self-, and emotional awareness, help them become part of a social group, and prepare them for gaining necessary knowledge in the future.
These skills they gain are:
- Self-control (sitting still and listening quietly)
- Following directions
- Gross and fine motor skills
- Cooperation
- Analyzing and reasoning (coming to logical conclusions)
The environment helps them to feel safe and comfortable, then learning process starts with a well-balanced program that includes variety of open-minded learning and teaching activities. Our curriculum supports all areas of development; social, emotional, physical and intellectual.
The kindergarten class prepare children for primary school. There is more emphasis on English and Mathematics. By the end of the year, they are expected to gain skills for primary school which as being concentrate on the tasks they have been set and being able to do their daily work.
